I decided to upgrade from a first generation i5 and the difference in application loading and execution times is very noticeable.

I am running this daily OC'd 4.7ghz using a Corsair H100. Processer can easily hit 4.8 - 5ghz if you are using custom water cooling, but your not going to hit above 4.7 stable with any retail cooler and defiantly not with air, even the Noctua. Dollar for Dollar this is a great buy and a beast of a processor. If your not looking to spend more than $300 on a processor than this should be your one and only choice.
