I had an original Kinect from XBbox One launch, but at some point had upgraded my console to the One S without the Kinect port. Fast-forward to six months into COVID, and me looking for physical activities for my kids, and I found my Kinect in a box. Grabbed this adapter, and it works great! Kinect itself still has limitations around quality of tracking and all that, but that has nothing to do with this adapter. Only complaint is that this adds a ton of wire, it took a bit of work to tie it up and hide it all. The adapter itself isn't that big, just a lot of cable.

My kids discovered Just Dance at a friends house and I thought it would be a fun way to stay active during COVID. One problem...you need to use a mobile device or a Kinect sensor to play on Xbox. This item converted the Kinect sensor we got with our Xbox one to plug into the Xbox one x series perfectly.

with the series X, I moved my old One X to the family room - only problem - the kids still play Just Dance, so I needed to keep the Kinect going. As the One X doesn't have a dedicated Kinect port, the adapter was necessary. Easy to hook up and has worked without issue.
