Compare R.A.T.1 to your typical computer mouse, and you'll notice a slew of differences. For starters, R.A.T.1 looks anything but ordinary. A uniform layout and 3500 DPI optical sensor also make R.A.T.1 equally adept as a right- or left-handed gaming mouse. And, the body separates from the frame to create a mini mouse that you can customize and upgrade. Boasting an easy plug-and-play connection plus an adjustable palm rest, R.A.T.1 is ideal for everyday use. And when work is over and it's time for a game, you won't need to bother switching to a different mouse.

This is the best mouse I have ever bought. I like it so much I bought 2. One for work and one for home. It’s very light and feels precise. The clicking of the buttons is also very clear. Would buy again.

Great mouse for the price point, was the lightest mouse before Finalmouse could even spell lightest mouse. The build is alright but most of you won't like the shape and the fact that it lacks side buttons which doesn't bother me. The down points of this mouse are slight button input latency a bit worse then some of the top mice out there, the cable is another down point but can be upgraded to paracord but for the price it's an excellent overall built mouse. The sensor is a 3320 and is one of the most accurate old sensors I have felt especially with how they position the sensor further forward it's just great. The mouse feet are also really nice for stock mouse feet nearly on par with my Glorious Model O mouse. I mostly bought this mouse just to add to my collection because it's the ORIGINAL RAT1 not the watered down revision or RAT1+, this one was the best of the lot.

I appreciate how well M+L do dealings with their clients and I'll surely buy from them again. A really nice company with competitive prices and they shipped to South Africa in said promised time ;)

I bought the mouse thinking i'm going to replace my old Rat 5 that I've had for over 5 years now so I was very happy with Mad Catz, I would not recommend this for a pro gamer as it does not have the side forward/back but it does have them right next to the weal but I am using it as a work mouse and I'm more than happy as I do not need the stability that Rat 5 offers.Price to Value > worth it.

This is the lightest mouse on the market that still has a decent sensor. I've been using it for about 2 months now and while I've had some problems, it's overall been very positive. First and foremost, the sensor has a somewhat low malfunction speed. Wrist flicks are completely fine, but moderate to fast arm flicks will make the sensor stop tracking. If you play on an EDPI that's lower than say, 1000-ish, this probably isn't the mouse for you. That said, the shape works quite well for me (hands are 18.4cmx10.16cm fingertip grip), though from what I can tell, claw and palm grips would be quite uncomfortable. The mouse 4 on my copy will not actuate unless pulled back hard (past the point where it should activate). The biggest issue I've had so far is that the mouse double-clicks. Not often, and never in-game, but it will double-click in Windows every so often. A slight hindrance for me, but if you're an artist or the like, perhaps look elsewhere. Aside from the malfunction speed, I've had no problems with the sensor. The tracking seems quite good on it no matter the pad (I use a speedy cloth but it worked flawlessly on hard and aluminum pads). The switches could be a touch lighter but they're quite comfortable. In conclusion, if you're looking for lightweight mouse and can overlook a few flaws, at least until the CM MM710 releases, look no further. This mouse is great, especially for the price.

First off when Madcatz closed I was pretty disappointed as their more squarish and adjustable sizing mice have been my go to choice for years just because of my 21+cm hand size. Not many mice feel comfortable, and often with products like my Razer Mamba the feeling my hand gets after just a couple hours resting on the mouse is like my hand is being folded from thumb to pinky in on itself. The rat 1 being a smaller mouse that I grabbed for a cheap travel mouse is more comfortable than my daily driver. I can comfortably rest my index, middle, and ring finger on top of the ambidextrous design, and let my pinky rest on the frame element to the sides of the mouse. I can't wait for Madcatz to start selling their new line up, and finally have something comfortable against without having to go with an awkward vertical mouse for daily use. It's note worthy that I got the first version of this mouse. I have had no problems with any of the clicks on it double clicking or suddenly feeling mushy, and I use both my mice for well over 10,000 clicks a piece daily. To me this now $9.99 mouse feels about the same build quality as my $109 Razer Mamba minus the rgb. So if you need something cheap that works go for this specifically the first version because i do believe version 2 does have issues with the sensor, clicks after time. The packing for shipping was well done, and fast also.

This is a great mouse that is different than all other designs at a cheap price. I bought it as a backup to my wireless one. It looks amazing and works very well.

The original company that made this was bought out by another company who has no support for the old hardware or software. The software is hard to find. When I found it it didn’t work on my Mac. The mouse works perfectly fine without the software but I wish I could have it working.

I just received this today and for the price, the weight/sensor is amazing. I honestly can’t tell the difference between my Finalmouse Air58 Ninja in terms of performance. If you’re only into lightweight mice like me and have a budget, this is one that will not break the bank. It weighs about 10grams lighter than my Air58 Ninja. I couldn’t make the sensor spin out at all playing Apex Legends or CSGO but then again I use 800dpi at 3 sens. I actually ordered another one of these mice as a backup and since it was so cheap. My only issue with this mouse is the cable. It weighs down the actual mouse and you feel a lot of resistance from it. I recommend a paracord cable to install on this as it’s probably one of the easiest mice to install them on (there are no screws needed to be taken out). DO NOT GET the Version 2 of the R.A.T. 1 (Black and Red with RGB Led) as it weighs more and has A LOT worse of a sensor PAW3204DB (1600DPI/30IPS) which is meant for ultra-low-power wireless mice. Version 1 (Black and Green or White and Red) has the 3320 (3500DPI and 80IPS) which can actually be used for serious gaming. Keep that in mind, I’m not exaggerating those differences.

I bought the Bluetooth/Wireless RAT-M for my laptop, and liked its design and weight, so I bought one of these as well, but for my desktop. This one looks great, but is very light and somewhat plasticky: I was expecting heavier. Nevertheless, it is very sensitive and works extremely well. I think I'll add one of those stick-on alloy wheel balancing weights to make it feel ore substantial. It glides over my mouse mat extremely well. Overall, a good buy for my needs. I'm just a tiny bit disappointed that it isn't the RAT-M with a cord.
