When i came home on Sunday night after work, i wanted to start my computer and it would shot down in an instant. Al i could read was CPU FAN error . I did some research and it looked like my water cooling system finally hit the bucket (about seven years old). So i looked around for a replacement and i came across the Gammaxx 400. I actually wanted to run a water cooling system again but i needed something fast and the price was more than reasonable. I researched this product and decided to buy it. Two days later (today is Tuesday) the product arrived. It has different brackets for Intel or AMD sockets. It does come with thermal paste but i used a different thermal paste , so i can't really rate the one that came with the cooler.Installation was as easy as it can get. After connecting everything my computer started up and what can i say, as of right now i am very satisfied. My computer feels like a tiny freezer. The cold air coming out of it is incredible AND you can't even hear the fan. There is absolutely no noise. All i can say if you have one of the supported boards and you are looking for a replacement.... well, this is IT. Give it a shot and see if it works for you. As of right now, i am more than pleased.

This thing is amazing, and an absolute steal at 25 bucks. I run an old school Quad Core Q6600, and on the stock cooler it would frequently creep into the upper 90s under load and throttle itself back. Yikes! Not wanting to dump an excessive amount of money into a legacy machine, but also on a quest for a vast reduction in temperature, I opted for this cooler. Install wasn't too bad with the board in the case; the only issue being the less than ideal turn-and-push style mounts that Intel LGA775's (and others) are notorious for. Even then, it took me less than 20 minutes to slap it in and button everything up.Ran a stress test with CPU-Z and the temps would hover right around 60C under 100% load on the base 2.4 Ghz. VERY happy with a drop of ~35 degrees! Now, the majority of users would be totally fine with the included single fan, but I plan to overclock this old girl at some point, so I opted to put in an additional 120mm fan on the opposing side. Luckily for me, the kit came with a second pair of metal mounting brackets to install the second fan. Well done, DEEPCOOL. Granted, it only dropped the temp a few more degrees, case fans are cheap, and every little bit counts. Can't speak for longevity, since I've had it for less than two weeks. But all things considered, it's a great unit at a great price with the ability to add a second fan. If you want low cost but effective cooling, especially for legacy processors, I say go for it.

I have an AMD FX-8320 3.5ghz overclocked to 4.2ghz. I used to run about 32c at idle with my cooler master liquid cooler, which failed after a few years..... Now I'm running at a very cool 28c and can't believe how great this cheap cooler works. I do have 2 additional case fans in the top of my case that also force air around the heatsink which may or may not be adding to it's cooling abilities. I'm not reviewing this thing for money or anything else of value.... Just honestly happy with the results and glad to be up and running again for not much $$$

A lot of YT reviews have this performing on par or better than a CM 212 Evo. I took the blue LED and put it on the backside and put an ARGB fan on the front. Very cool cooler

I have this cooler for about a month, before this I started getting lag with stock cooler (it is old) , and I check open hardware monitor and boom my CPU was showing 95C temp! So I immediately looked for a cooler and I went for a cheap one.So far it is good but I agree with some of the comments that it kinda feels that it would be way better if there was a little better quality material but this is honestly really cheap, I cant say anything as comparison to other brands since I had laptops and stock coolers before this one but now I dont exceed 60-65C with my 5 years old i7-4790K (that badboy runs hot)By no means this is a bad cooler but I dont want to pay more for a better cooler since this is sufficient but if you want to extra overclock and do all kinds of dark magic get one that is more expensive, maybe it will be better! Thanks for reading!

4/5 overall because it does the job. Can't complain there. The fan is a bit noisy when you can't control the speed, but if your motherboard/fan controller supports it you can get the a lot of the noise down. No real complaints there. What was really unfortunate was my unit shipped with no screws to mount the mounts to the actual cooler and no thermal paste. I was thoroughly upset to day the least because it was the last piece I needed for my pc and I was really hoping to fire it up that night. The cooler is entirely non-functional unless you have those 4 little screws. I ended up going to the hardware store to find screws it fit and luckily had one little pea sized drop of thermal paste from an old tube of arctic silver. This product is well worth it when it actually has all the hardware necessary to put it together, but I guess that's a risk you take going with the cheaper alternative. I'm not sure if I'd risk it again, I may just get an actual 212 evo next time as I've never had a name-brand send me anything without all the hardware.TL;DR:Tight on money? Get this.Tight on time? Don't get this.

This cools late-model AM3+ chips extremely well, and it much easier to mount than other coolers in the same price range.

Noise level: cant even hearWarmth: Temp has been cool so farLooks: 10/10. The Blue led gives the fan blade a glimmering blue “stuck in place” effect. Really cool.Mounting System: This is the only thing I have an issue with. The visual instructions that come with the box are NOT HELPFUL. There is a point where you have to apply significant pressure to lock the fan cooler onto the CPU chip. Luckily there are youtube videos (many of which aren’t very clear on this step) to give better guidance.

I have an I7-9700k CPU and this works great under high stress. For its price, its installation, and its cooling, I highly recommend getting it. It is one of the best air coolers I've had. Installation was also one of the easiest, usually its a pain to place a CPU cooler while my motherboard is still in the tower but this literally took 5 minutes from start to finish [LGA 1151] You cant go wrong with it.

Very silent, works very good, drop my load temperatures 75 to 58, and idle 50 c to 40 c, but this cooler is an absolute pain in the ass to install if you already had your system installed, if you have this and your system is already installed, ok so basically get a screw or anything that is long and slim (intel only), then push down on the locking brackets, for the other 2 on the back you can push it down since your hand can actually do it.

I had a Cooler Master Dual fan water cooler on my gamer before this. On my backup gamer and my third PC I use Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO fans which work AWESOME. So I would be able to compare the mounting systems and cooling. The heat sink and fans size are the same as the EVO. The mounting system is cheaper and a bit of a pain but not bad at all. You do not have to get under the MB which is great. Cooling on my I7-7700k processor is better with this fan then the water cooler. It is almost identical to the EVO cooler. If you can save a few bucks over the EVO and like the idea you don't have to get under the board to install the mount, this is for you. Either is a great choice.

Mounting this is sketchy, but when you figure it out, it'll work just fine. I've overclocked my Ryzen 5 3600 to 4375 MHZ at 1.2 volts with Ryzen Master and the temps don't go above 70-73 C at max load. Normally it sits around 35-40 C, and it is quiet when there.
